General Toddlers Workshops

Wondering if your toddler's speech is on track?

Our friendly and supportive speech and communication drop-in sessions for children aged 18-24 months offer a gentle introduction to language development through a Wellcomm screen. Whether you have specific questions or simply want to provide your child with extra opportunities to explore communication, you're welcome here.

Our experienced practitioners use play based activities and engaging interactions to encourage early language skills and help to identify where we can support you and your child with their language skills. We focus on creating a comfortable and encouraging environment where your child can thrive.

The Wellcomm screening will take from 20 – 30 minutes in a session completed with you, your child and the practitioner. As these sessions are drop in you may have to wait a few minutes on arrival.

These sessions can help with:

• Supporting your understanding of your child’s current language development
• Fostering social interaction and communication.
• Providing parents with information and support.

Thursday 17 April, 9.30am – 11.30am and 1pm – 3.30pm

Smethwick Family Hub

Wednesday 23 April, 9.30am – 12.30pm

Tipton Family Hub

Tuesday 15 April, 9.30am – 11.30am

Wednesbury Family Hub

Tuesday 22 April, 9.30am – 11.30am

West Bromwich Central Family Hub

Friday 25 April, 12pm – 4.30pm

Please note if your child attends nursery, they will complete the Wellcomm assessment with them. If you have already attended Wellcomm screening at your local Family Hub you do not need to attend this drop in session. If can’t make this drop-in session please call your local Family Hub to book an appointment.
